Porter Cable 5140082-09 Bevel Gear

Great replacement part since Porter-Cable has been bought out by Dewalt. My saw blade wouldn't go upand found that the bevel gear was wearing out. When I received the part it would not mount on the shaft. I'll have to have it inlarged. Other then that I am happy that someone had the part. THANK YOU!!

To my surprise the Gear is actually machine metal - why Porter Cable put a cheap nylon gear in from the factory can only be to save money. Anyway, I a very pleased with the quality of the gear but wish they would have shipped it with set screws, which I had to purchase from Lowes. Note to buyers...Order two because you will need to replace the mating gear which is of a different ratio. All in all, I am happy with Powertoolreplacementparts.

I had ordered the same gears from two other parts suppliers that had told me they had the gears in stock which when it came time to ship them they replied to me that the parts were backstock and wouldbe sent by another specific date which never came so I checked with Powertool replacement parts and they told me up front that the parts were on back order and they could get them to me as soon as they got them which they did in a good timely manner.
